My Excellent Real Estate Adventure!

Ahhh..... the real estate industry. What the heck! I have just jumped into it, looks like i did just in time for the agents to be compared to Lawyers, a "bad market" and some major mortgage renovations. My parents thought I was crazy---"setting myself up for failure", but I saw it like buying a stock before the rebound. I have been a real estate investor for over 10yrs, I am 30ish now, typically spending much of my free time searching for homes online and driving the neighborhoods, in search of the worst house on the best block.

When my massage career started to spiral downward due to carpal tunnel, I had friends telling me how great the industry was and how I should jump into it. I fought it, mentally and emotionally---saying to them that I could never be that woman on the blue tooth headset with the really big designer purse. I figured that I was too down to earth to fit what had become the mold of the typical real estate agent, they will EAT ME ALIVE. I like everyone else was a little tired of the faces on your shopping cart, endless neighborhood expert ads, the daytime T.V. type ads that promise to sell my home in a day or they will buy it.... blah blah blah... The thought of joining that sorority made my skin crawl.

I am not sure what flipped the switch, but I decided one day that I was going to be different! I would go into real estate and be the person that I would want to deal with on a major life purchase or sale. I will be professional, not all about myself, fun and educate my clients when they want to learn. To quote Mahatma Gandhi "I will be the change I wish to see in the world."

So there begins my journeys in Real Estate, the goods, the learning, the fun!!! Stay tuned for a candid, open hearted view on my real estate adventures.
